Last Monday I wrote about a conversation I had with 2 girls that my staff friend Laura and I met. The Lord was reminding me to step out in faith trusting that He is at work and leave the results to Him. Although Emily did not make a decision to surrender her life to God while we were together, it was obvious that she was thinking about it and knew that she had a decision to make. Today, Emily and I met to discuss our previous conversation and what she was thinking after having time to process on her own. She said that later Monday night she spent a long time talking and being honest with God. She shared that in the past she felt that she was beyond being able to renew her relationship with God, but now she has hope because she knows her relationship is real. We were able to talk through a lesson in 1 John about what this decision means in her life while we were together.
Thank you so much for praying for her! Please continue to pray that she shares this decision with someone she knows and that we are able to meet again.
"And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life." ~ 1 John 5:11-13
