I recently listened to a talk by Tim Keller sharing lessons from Acts for the 21’st century church. He shared that the early church was almost completely Urban Centric. The reason the Roman Empire went Christian is because by the year 30AD 50% of the cities was Christian, but the countryside was pagan. In America today, it is the opposite. The cities are pagan and the countryside is Christian. Our culture is being shaped without those who truly follow Christ.
Imagine if the students graduating from some of America’s top universities were leaving with a desire to follow the Lord and serve Him wherever they are. Barrack Obama, Jerry Seinfeld, Colan Powell, Calvin Klein, Ruth Bater Ginsberg are a few of the influential people who have entered New York as Students and left as world changers.
This summer I am heading to New York with a Team of 35 Campus Crusade staff and college students from around the country. We will be working together to share Christ on campuses throughout the city and in the community. I will personally be discipling several students on our team to help them grow in their faith, and their ability to share Christ with others. I will be there from June 3-July 15. From New York I will go to Fort Collins, Colorado for a National Staff conference where I will be joined by thousands of other CCC staff seeking to bring about God’s kingdom. Together we will be equipped and encouraged in continuing to share Christ.

God is faithful, and He continues to use the prayers and finances of his people to be the missing link in reaching those who need most to hear of Him.
